Workshops
& Courses

Our courses and workshops are delivered by leading researchers from CLEA, a world-renowned transdisciplinary research hub known for its pioneering work in systems thinking and complexity science. What makes our approach unique is our integration of academic research with creative practices and embodied learning through our ArtScience department. Through diverse experiential workshops, we make a range of subjects accessible and intuitive by providing organisations, companies, NGOs and schools with practical tools to address their specific needs.

Whether you're facing sustainability transitions, technological adaptation, or organisational transformation, our embodied learning methods create lasting capabilities that traditional training simply can't deliver. Drawing on evidence-based research in collective intelligence, we help groups unlock their creative potential by optimising how teams collaborate, communicate, and innovate together. Our scientifically-grounded approaches to fostering collective creativity and problem-solving enable groups to tap into their most valuable resource—the combined intelligence of their people.

Our offerings range from one-day workshops to intensive 6-week courses at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels. Contact us for custom workshops tailored to your needs.

Systems At Play: Workshop

In this workshop, we will immerse ourselves in the forest not just as passive observers, but as active participants in its complex, ever-unfolding narrative. The forest, ancient and alive, will serve as both guide and teacher, inviting us to experience the world through many lenses—through science, myth, play, and more.

Workshops and School Programmes for Young People

Buckminster College

Buckminster College is a nomadic, part-time educational enrichment program designed to prepare young people (10-16) to navigate complexity, collaborate across disciplines, and take shared responsibility for the world they will help shape.

At Buckminster, young people learn directly with artists, scientists, and philosophers in an intergenerational space of play and exploration.

Systems At Play 101

Imagine, if one could simply play, and, through play, we could gain an understanding of the complex workings of systems that exist in the world; from ecosystems to cosmic systems? What if we didn’t have to leave play behind as we grew older, but instead, we just got better at playing together, coming to understand play as a collaborative tool for exploring scientific, social, philosophical, and technical systems. In this workshop you can experience the collective dynamics of systems through play.
